The five-year General Surgery Residency Program prepares residents to function as independent and highly qualified practitioners of surgery. During the past five years, more than 85 percent of the residents have passed their surgical Boards on the first try. The program is accredited by the Residency Review Committee of Surgery and is one of Allegheny General's accredited residencies.
